Mitambo Media Production will over the weekend break your ribs with a comical play at National Theater dubbed “Ikia Ndwano” which loosely translate to throw your fishing hook.
The story is about Mzalendo and Hinga who wants to buy the hotel…..
When Mzalendo couldn’t sustain his hotel business, he decides to sell it to Hinga. All is well until Hinga turns up unexpectedly to inspect the property. Mzalendo has to conspire with his staff to make the hotel look busy to impress the buyer. This is a recipe for chaos as nobody seems to know what they are doing. When everything seems to fall apart, help from unexpected quarters comes to the rescue. Among the issues explored in this comedy show is how business people are coping in these harsh economic times, how families are affected and what can be done to curb the rising frustrations.
Throw to the mix some Gîkûyû cultural facts and you have a perfect comedy: Entertaining, educational, and suitable for the whole family. This show by Mitambo Media Production runs from Thursday 30th May to Sunday 2nd June at Kenya National Theatre, Cheche Gallery.
