There was a drama on Sunday afternoon as deputy president stopped at Githurai 45 to greet his supporters accompanied by Waititu among a host of Tanga-tanga jubilee politicians.
All was well until Waititu took the microphone and no one was ready to listen to him.
He was heckled and booed with traders comprising f bodaboda operators accusing him of stealing county money to fund his personal projects.
“We won’t listen to you, you are a thief, why are you stealing our money to buy your houses?, “traders could be heard ranting.
Githurai residents accuse him of destroying their livelihoods after he pulled down their market last year that accommodated over 3, 000 traders.
Early this year the Kiambu county government destroyed the Githurai market with a promise that he will construct a modern market.
Nominated senator Isaac Mwaura had accused Waititu of awarding a Chinese company to construct the market where the money that was meant to construct was stolen.
During the drama, the deputy president couldn’t rescue the governor but he was forced to stay silent.
