Watch 2017 Video of Kabogo Prophesying Waititu would be a thief

A video has emerged online of former Kiambu governor William Kabogo prophesying about Waititu’s love for money.

Kabogo is seen addressing residents urging them not to fall into a trap and elect outsiders whose interest is to steal from people.

Kabogo is seen acknowledging that the governor’s post isn’t easy as some people might think, noting that some people referring to Waititu are only interested in Making money and not to serve society.

“If you chase me, I will go home with my head high, I will not look back but I know this guy is only interested in making money,” Kabogo said.

Since he took office in 2017, Waititu has been fighting several allegations on misappropriation of public money.

On Wednesday alongside her Wife Susan Ndungu, Waititu was accused of flouting procurement laws by awarding self tenders and close associates.

The court heard that between July 2, 2018, and March 13, 2019, is the Director of Saika Two Estate Developers Ltd, Waititu received Ksh. 18,410,500 from Testimony Enterprises Limited.

Former governor William Kabogo had warned Kiambu residents against saving money with troubled Ekeza Sacco

Anti-Corruption Court Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi ordered him to surrender his passports and ensure he does not contact witnesses lined up to testify against him in the Sh588 million corruption case.

Waititu’s wife Susan Wangari was also released on a cash bail of Sh4 million or bond of Sh10 million.

Waititu was barred from accessing office till the case is determined.

The decision to bar Waititu follows a ruling issued last week by Justice Mumbi Ngugi who upheld a magistrate’s decision to bar Samburu Governor Moses Kasaine from office until a corruption case against him is heard and determined
