Police Officers in West Pokot are investigating a famous pastor in the area for allegedly defiling a minor.
The family reported that their daughter was allegedly raped by an African Inland Church cleric (AIPCA)
The mother said the girl was staying with the pastor, who had been paying for her school fees.
County commissioner Apollo Okello acknowledged receiving complaints from the mother and a section of church members.
“Police officers are still conducting investigations and once done, the suspect will be arrested and presented in court,” he said.
The pastor has denied any wrongdoing and dismissed the claim as a witch-hunt.
The pastor has been requested by the church officials to surrender the church document awaiting disciplinary action once the allegation has been proved.
