Kenyan Musician Jackson Makini famously known as Prezzo will vie for the Kibra parliamentary by-election seat on a Wiper ticket.
Prezzo’s dive into politics came days after another celebrity and footballer, McDonald Mariga was named Jubilee Party’s candidate for the 2019 Kibra by-election.
Prezzo was unveiled by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka at the party’s headquarters.
Prezzo joins a growing number of artistes quitting music for politics, the most recent being Starehe MP Charles Njagua alias Jaguar.
The footballer will be locking horns with ODM’s Imram Okoth, Eliud Owalo of ANC Party and Khamisi Butichi from Ford Kenya.
The seat fell vacant following the death of Ken Okoth.
