Repentance and Holiness Ministry followers of prophet Owour are reported of fundraising Ksh 330million to build him a mansion in Runda complete with an underground bunker.
According to blogger Abraham Mutai, the followers have been raising the money to ensure that the prophet is secure from external forces.
Early this year, a family of one of the ministry’s bishops is accusing Owuor of brainwashing their sister while cutting off her access to the family.
Bishop Jane Njagi’s family says the ministry is occupying their property with impunity while controlling the bishop’s personal bank accounts, something they want to stop.

The family claims that the church took over the home and turned it into its head office.
