Nairobi’s first Mayor Charles Wanyoike Rubia will be buried on Monday at Kandara Constituency.
Kandara residents on Friday were left shocked as key government officials ordered school management to demolish karigu-ini Primary School Toilets that were in poor state.
A source has hinted that the school management was promised good structure once the burial will be over.
“The toilet were not in good shape and the leaders thought it would bring shame especially to the head of state, they promised to built new ones,”she said.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy William Ruto are expected to attend among dozen of government dignitaries .
Rubia died at the age of 96 at his Nairobi home, in what the family attributed to old age because he was not sick.
He served as a Member of Parliament for Starehe Constituency for 20 years uninterrupted.
