Armed Police Officers Disrupt Gatundu South Demonstration,Locals Call for Kuria Release

Police on Saturday afternoon had a hard time after residents of Gatundu South demonstrated over the detention of their MP Moses Kuria.

They lit bonfires and barricaded section of the road and vowed not to resume to their normal duties unless Kuria is released.

Kuria was arrested after woman activist filed a case against the MP.

Section of tangatanga MPs on Friday were also teargassed when they went at Kilimani Police station to show solidarity.

Led by Kimani Ichungwa and Alice Wahome they accuse opposition leader Raila Odinga of being behind their arrests and intimidation by police officers.
