Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo has called out to president Uhuru Kenyatta,Raila Odinga and William Ruto to retire from active politics comes 2022.
While speaking at Inooro Fm today morning,Kabogo said that the leaders are the responsible for the current political atmosphere in the Country.
“I would like to call upon the above leaders to resign in 2022,whatever its happening they are the one to blame,”Kabogo said.
He also called on electorates to always elect leader with integrity noting that they will have no one to blame if they make a wrong choice.
The former governor urged leaders to stop politicking on 2022 campaigns.
“Let stop early campaign its not healthy at all,time will come and everyone will be given that moment,”Kabogo said.
He further took swipe to leaders from mount Kenya region who are endorsing themselves to inherit president Uhuru once he retires 2022.
Kabogo said that due protocol will be used to select the suitable candidate to to head the region but it won’t be easy as some think.
“You people(media) should stop saying this and this need this,everyone has his own strength,but i want to assure you it will be a tough one,even in the forest,lion fight till the king is found to rule,”Kabogo said.
Several leaders across the region are said to eye the position of being regions spokesperson.
Among those fronted include him (Kabogo),Peter Kenneth,Mwangi Kiunjuri and Ann Waiguru.
Kikuyu Council of Elders National Chairman Wachira Kiago recently said that the region should now accord president Uhuru time to finish his term.
Mr Wachira said that the region isn’t short of strong men who can take over from president Uhuru urging the community not to panic.
“Let stop panicking on who should be picked,we have strong men in our community but for now let respect Uhuru and accord him respect and support to finish his term,”he said.
