Naivasha MP Jane Kihara has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta of intimidating leaders who are allied to deputy president William Ruto.
According to a report by People Daily, Kihara is quoted saying that they won’t be cowed by threats from the Jubilee party leadership.
The MP has accused Senate Minority leader Irungu Kang’ata of being used t harass leaders who are allied to Ruto and against president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kihara admitted that intimidation had turned out to be the order of the day in the ruling party. Speaking in Naivasha after touring various development projects, Kihara claimed Kang’ata was leading the threats.
“Those perceived to be Ruto’s allies are been persecuted and threatened daily but this will not cow us,” she said, adding that the ongoing wrangles had split the party,” she said.
The MP further noted that it’s worrying that section of leaders is fighting the DP for his generosity during this hard time of Covid-19.
