Kimilili member of parliament Hon Didmus Barasa has now revealed that plans are in place to overthrow Bungoma senator Hon Moses Wetangula as FORD Kenya party leader.
In a tweet on Saturday evening, the Ruto allied MP said someone with unrevealed identity from Navakholo constituency had been sent to overthrow the NASA principal as FORD Kenya party leader.
“Am reliably informed that someone has travelled from Navakho constituency to overthrow @Wetangulam as party leader of @FordKenyaSimba the generosity that the people of Tongaren constituency extended to him by a way of welcome ends today,” he tweeted.
“I am not a member of @FordKenyaSimba but the party can be our partner if not my destination and as such party auctioneers and or swindlers must be kept at bay. @HonChrisWamalwa,” he added.
Vocal Moses Wetangula has been recently missing in action, something which has worried many as keeping silent is not his thing. On Friday Wetangula was also missing in action when a section of Luhyia community leaders converged at The Central Organization of Traders Union (Cotu) home in Kajiado to discuss a way forward in Luhyia politics.
The meeting however triggered mixed reactions from Kenyans online with some advising the Luhyia leaders to keep away from Atwoli and Raila.
“One final advice to these Luyia leaders who met at Atwoli’s home: keep off Mzee Atwoli’s divisive politics and keep Raila out of local Luhyia politics! Remember the latest casualty of the Atwoli-Raila politics is MP Chris Wamalwa. How long should this go on?” Prof Edward Kisiang’ani a political analyst told Luhyia leaders after the meeting.
