Kandara constituency Member of Parliament Alice Wahome has revealed more details on the last meeting held by Deputy President William Ruto’s team of women Members of Parliament alias Inua Mama on Friday where it made an announcement that it is set to make a huge comeback to the country’s political arena very soon.
Through her verified Facebook page, Ms Wahome revealed that the group of legislators paid a visit to Garissa county Women representative Anab Mohammed Gure. Ms Gure who is of Somali origin named her recently born child after Deputy President William Ruto just to show her love for the second in command and her strong support ahead of the upcoming 2022 presidential race.
Wahome described the host of the luncheon as a heroine who never left their team as they traversed different parts of the country to empower women.
“Baby Ruto will always be a darling to the entire Inua Mama team. A price that Hon. Anab Mohammed Gure – Mp. Garissa county who walked the entire Inua Mama 2019 edition journey with us across the country paid.
A story of a daring heroine who never left by our side as we empowered fellow women across the country. In Mama – Baby Ruto Luncheon as we forged the way forward on how we can continue reaching out and empowering women,” Alice Wahome wrote.
The announcement of the comeback comes at a time when politicians from different political groups have started their political activities even in the midst of the deadly and highly contagious Coronavirus infection which has continued to spread in the country like wildfire.
The government had initially banned all political gatherings as part of the measures to keep the deadly virus at bay but the upcoming 2022 general elections which are around the corner have continued to make the political scenes active. The entry of the noisy Inua Mama team is therefore expected to intensify the political activities in the country.
