A Kiambu tycoon Eric Ndichu popularly known as Ka-Virginia has today launched a state of an art petrol station in Toll, in Juja Constituency.
What’s special about the launch was that it was officiated by Kiambu Governor himself, James Nyoro in an event full of pomp and glamour.
And not only that, the tycoon went ahead to offer free fuel to all motorists making their way to the station for the better part of today.
Known for his philanthropic nature and power prowess, Ka-Virginia always hangs out with grade A politicians and is a key figure in both Kiambu and National politics.
Last year, he hit the headlines when unknown assailants broke into his Range Rover which was parked at TRM and made away with Ksh 600,000 in cash amid other valueables.
Other noticeable dignitaries in attendance also included former Nairobi Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe and a wide range of Kiambu MCAs.
“We as Shell Petrol Station in Toll, we are humbly requesting motorists to come and experience the benefits of our products which are well enhanced by the latest Dynaflex technologies, “Ndichu expressed after the launch.
A recent report by the Petroleum Institute of East Africa ranked Vivo Energy as the leading player in the local market in the first quarter of the year at 28 per cent.
Also Speaking governor Nyoro urged investors to consider investing in Kiambu County.
Nyoro reiterated that his government is doing everything possible to initiate proper investment structures that will soothe and accommodate new and existing investors.
He added that the new station will give direct employment to the youth within the area; thus economically empowering them.
“Kiambu County government has welcomed the move by Ka-Virginia to invest and partner with us through service delivery and job creation,” He concluded.
