Kameme Tv presenter Njogu Njoroge is plotting to the eye for Nakuru gubernatorial seat 2022, this is according to former agriculture cabinet secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri during an interview.
Kiunjuri was speaking during an interview with Kameme Tv when he urged Njogu that the politics isn’t easy as people will expect more from him.
“Njogu i was in Nakuru and Gilgil and i heard people saying that they want you to vie for senatorial seat and its not an easy thing but an interesting field,” He said.
Kiunjuri revealed that the race to succeed Uhuru isn’t an easy thing but the best candidate will emerge among those who are taunted to be a potential candidate.
Already former Kiambu governor William Kabogo, former presidential candidate Peter Kenneth,Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria and former agriculture cabinet secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri are fighting for the seat of being Mount Kenya kingpin.
Kiunjuri during an interview said that the forming of the government will need a proper consultation to come up with a conclusive decision.
He further said the BBI is dividing Kenyans and the opposition led by Raila Odinga is using the chance to disintegrate the Kikuyu community.
“The BBI isn’t a good idea as people think if it’s not for one Kenya, one vote and one shilling, the mount Kenya will suffer,” he said. The CS said Mt Kenya is not properly represented in the National Assembly, another issue he said the BBI should address.
He said Mt Kenya leaders and residents will only support the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) if it ensures equal distribution of resources to all regions.
“We have no problem with the BBI but it must ensure national resources benefit all people equally,” he said adding that Mount Kenya region needs a vibrant person such as the CS to fight for the people’s rights.
Kiunjuri recently launched his political party that he will use to vie for the presidency comes 2022. Mwangi Kiunjuri fought off suggestions his new party has links to Deputy President William Ruto.
