34-year-old banker found dead in a hit and run incident along Ngong road

A 34-year-old banker was on Sunday night found dead in a hit and run incident along Ngong road, Nairobi County.

The body of Michael Okello, 34, was discovered by members of the public at around 11pm and called the police.

This is according to the Sunday night reports by Ma3route Kenya;

“23:29 @NPSOfficial_KE Theres been a hit & run along Ngong road just before junction mall.Body has been there for a few hours now.” The post read in part. 

Preliminary findings revealed that the deceased was going to his after doing some shopping at one of the shops nearby before the unfortunate incident happened.

An eyewitness who spoke to the press on condition of anonymity said that the deceased was knocked down by overspeeding matatu during the odd hours.

The drvier of the vehicle reportedly fled the scene after realising that the victim is no more.

Police officers who responded to the accident scene documented their reports and transferred the body of the deceased to the hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.

A manhunt for the matatu driver who is still at large is underway.
