Gideon Moi on Monday received several defectors into KANU just days after KANU signed a working formula with the Azimio la Umoja under the able leadership of Raila Odinga and his handshake partner Uhuru Kenyatta. This is a big boost for the Azimio la Umoja who are keen on clinching the presidency in the 2022 polls.

Ali Muktar the Wajir Governo led a host of other defectors including Aljazeera Journalist Mohammed Adow who is also eyeing a parliamentary seat in Wajir county in the 2022 election.

He strongly believes that KANU is the only party that can propel him to the said position.

Kanu has witnessed several top politicians joining the party in recent days after they signed a pact with Jubilee and ODM. Gideon Moi is keen on ensuring that he campaigns for Raila in the coming polls as his party seeks to field candidates in the coming elections.
