Those interested in applying for the position are urged to visit the JSC website at https://www.jsc.go.ke/Index.php/careers/ to access information and requirements for the appointment, as well as instructions on how to submit applications.

Ms. Amadi, who has been embroiled in a case related to the 100-million-shilling gold scandal, began her tenure on January 14, 2014. She will be leaving office after serving in the position for a period of ten years.

During her tenure, while addressing the annual judges’ conference in Mombasa, Ms. Amadi highlighted achievements such as an increase in the number of court buildings, court officers, and the implementation of a digital system for managing the operations of the judiciary.

For instance, under her leadership, a total of 128 courts and small claims courts were established across Kenya. However, she also noted that the Judiciary still faced financial challenges due to limited budgetary allocations from the national budget each year.

Ms. Amadi will be stepping down after serving under three Chief Justices – Dr. Willy Mutunga, Mr. David Maraga, and now Ms. Martha Koome.
