Azerbaijan Ambassador to Kenya Sultan Hajiyev calls for immediate action over the landmine and explosive remnants of war on Azerbaijan and strength collaboration with Kenya to tackle climate crisis
The Azerbaijan Ambassador to Kenya Sultan Hajiyev spoke with journalists about Azerbaijan’s participation in the third international conference in mine action.
The conference brought together global leaders, experts snd stakeholders to strengthen partnership and establish new alliances aimed at achieving mine-free world.
During his interview with journalists, Ambassador Hajiyev emphasized the devastating impacts of landmine and explosive remnants of war on Azerbaijan over the past three years.
Hajiyev also underscored the importance of international cooperation particularaly between Kenya and Azerbaijan in addressing this global challenges.
Further more he highlighted the upcoming COP29, which Azerbaijan will host in November in Baku.
He described this event as a crucial opportunity to showcase Azerbaijan commitment to tackling climate change and fostering international collaboration.
The Ambassador remarks underline the interconnectedness of demining efforts and environmental sustainability, setting the stage for important discussions at COP 29.
