According to a statement sent by group communication director, Sam Ochieng said that the group was launched by Raila Odinga in Nakuru County last month.

The main purpose of the event is to support and endorse Baba as he supports the women agenda across the Country.
Also, the statement indicated that they want to consolidate the women agenda for inclusion in Baba‛s Manifesto as he set the campaign for the race to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta.
“We want to prepare women candidates for the next election to help meet the national target of 5,000 women candidates for the two-thirds gender rule fulfilment,” read the statement.
Former prime minister Raila has been traversing the country as he seeks Kenyan support.
He is expected to face off with deputy president William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka among others.
Speaking at Pongwe/ Kidimu in the Lungalunga constituency, Raila urged electorates not to bank on William Ruto in the region.
“The other candidate opposing me has a direct interest in Coastal land therefore he is a major threat to residents of this area,” he said.
Raila urged Kwale residents to support his 2022 presidential bid, to enable him to address the thorny issues in the Country.
On the other side, the DP is on an extensive tour of Mount Kenya east drumming support for his UDA party and bottom-up slogan.
