The UDM party leader Ali Roba endorsed Azimio candidate Raila Odinga as its preferred presidential candidate in the 2022 election during the party’s NDC at Bomas today.
“Honorable delegates, the UDM party endorses Raila Odinga as its 2022 presidential candidate,” UDM party leader Ali Roba announced sending the delegates into celebrations.
“Karibia kwa wafugaji. From today, wewe ndio presidential aspirant wa UDM and Azimio la Umoja. May God bless you,” Roba told Raila as they shaked hands during the celebrations.

The UDM NDC was also attended by other dignitaries in the Azimio coalition including Governor Charity, Senator James Orengo, former presidential aspirant Peter Kenneth, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and many more.
Ali Roba had declared his candidature for the Mandera senatorial seat after serving as the Mandera governor for two terms, an indication that his influence in the pastoral community can not be ignored.
