Bunge La Mwananchi Grassroots social justice movement Bunge La Mwananchi has announced the launch of a friendly football tournament aimed at fostering unity among Kenyan youth.
Speaking on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the Jacaranda Grounds, Bunge President Francis Awino revealed that the tournament will kick off in Nairobi’s 17 constituencies before expanding to all 47 counties.
Awino urged the youth to unite and use their collective strength to ensure their voices are heard.
The movement also reiterated its commitment to holding the government accountable to its promises while emphasizing the importance of collaboration.
“We will ensure all teams have uniforms before the tournament begins. We must remain united, and no one will divide us,” said Awino.
Highlighting past achievements, the group celebrated its 2024 successes, including public awareness campaigns that reduced accidents and impactful initiatives like food donations.
