Nairobi County residents are crying foul over a rogue and corrupt Governor Johnson Sakaja’s chief officer who has intensified disorder in the transport sector.
Mobility and works chief officer Boniface Nyamu is on the spot for sabotaging Governor Sakaja by collecting loots from illegal and unlicensed stages along Mfangano and Tom Mboya Street.
“Chief officer Nyamu has been sending his agents frequently to collect money from this pick-up points. Failure to act accordingly may result to replacement by a different Sacco,” said Njoroge Maina, one of the Matatu Operators along Tom Mboya Street.
He has also increased Tuk-tuks operating from CBD to Shauri Moyo, Makongeni, Burma and Bahati route making it difficult to decongest Nairobi.
This has seen the City to be in complete disorder specifically along Ronald Ngala Street, OTC area and Tom Mboya Street where the Tuk-tuks pick passengers and luggages from.
Nyamu brags of being untouchable and gains protection from the ruling party’s bigwigs including Deputy President Rigathi Gachahua.
