The Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSME Development Mr. Simon Chelugui on Tuesday officially opened the National Co-operatives Chief Executive Officers meeting at Pride Inn, Mombasa.
This gathering, organized by Co-op Bank, brings together cooperative leaders from across the nation to discuss shared concerns.
In a statement through their social media platforms , Co-op Bank underscored its commitment to engaging cooperative leaders through its subsidiary, Co-op Consultancy.
“Co-op Bank is hosting National Cooperative CEOs for a meeting at Pride Inn, Mombasa,” the statement read. These forums are part of the consultancy’s annual training calendar, which includes courses in IT, marketing, customer service, finance, and compliance.
Notable figures present at the event included Dr. Gideon Muriuki, Group Managing Director and CEO of Co-operative Bank; Mr. Patrick Kilemi, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperative and MSME Development; Mr. Macloud Malonza, Chairman of Co-opHolding Co-operative Society and Vice Chairman of Co-op Bank; and Mr. David Obonyo, the Commissioner for Cooperatives, among others.
The primary objective of the meeting is to facilitate dialogue and collaboration among cooperative leaders, focusing on critical issues affecting the cooperative sector and identifying pathways for growth and development.
