Bandari football club Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tony Kibwana said his team is in the process of acquiring striking players before the elapse of the transfer window.
He confirmed the technical bench is on a mission to acquire striking players ahead of the kick off of the Football Kenya Federation [FKF] Premier League which is underway.
“If the worse comes to the worse we will be forced to acquire foreign players for the club,” he pointed out.
He spoke at end of an FKF Premier League match against Kenya Police FC played at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos county. The visiting team lost 3-0.
The Bandari football club CEO said they had initially resolved to do some scouting for players from local clubs and they had no intention of getting club signings from outside the country.
He had echoed a sentiment made by the club’s head of the Technical Bench Ken Odhiambo at the end of the weekend fixture where, despite creating the best scoring opportunities, no goal came their way at the final whistle.
Meanwhile, wounded AFC Leopards mauled Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) 4-2 during a match played at sportspesa arena in Murang’a county.
