Coca-Cola Awards Four More Sh1 Million Winners in KachingChing na Coke Promotion

Coca-Cola has announced four new winners in its ongoing KachingChing na Coke promotion, each receiving Sh1 million. This brings the total amount awarded since the promotion began in May to over Sh140 million. The promotion, which aims to distribute Sh163 million to over 2 million winners by the end of August, continues to create life-changing opportunities for Kenyans.

The latest winners include Ms. Susan Wambura from Murinduko in Mwea Constituency, Kirinyaga County; Mr. Willy Mumach from Kisumu County; Mr. Justus Okello from Kakamega County; and Ms. Brenda Chepkemoi from Kapsabet. Collectively, these winners have taken home more than Sh18 million in the past two weeks.

Ms. Brenda Chepkemoi, a 23-year-old bar attendant in Kapsabet town, Nandi County, plans to use her winnings to open a beauty shop and gain financial independence. “I participated over forty times. At first, I was winning less than Sh100, but then I received a call informing me that I had won Sh1 million. I was skeptical until Coca-Cola representatives came to my home, took me to their distributor’s depot, and handed me the cheque,” Ms. Chepkemoi said.

In Kisumu, Mr. Willy Mumach, 44, a shopkeeper from Otonglo village, plans to invest his winnings in purchasing land and building a house for his young family. He described his joy after receiving the life-changing call that he had won the grand prize following numerous attempts. “I had been trying repeatedly, winning small amounts—Sh50 here, Sh100 there,” he said.

Mr. Justus Okello, a biomedical engineering graduate from Kakamega County, intends to use his winnings to further his studies. “I saw a KachingChing poster in one of the shops in Kakamega and decided to participate. I entered about 46 times before receiving the call informing me that I was a winner,” he shared.

Ms. Susan Wambura, a teacher, plans to invest her winnings in her farming business to create employment opportunities for residents in her area. She also plans to help her sons start their own businesses. “The money I have received will boost my farming, and I will also set up a business for my children, creating direct jobs for the residents,” said Ms. Wambura.

Ms. Phoebe Jakoyo, Coca-Cola’s Trade Marketing Manager for the Nyanza region, affirmed the legitimacy of the promotion and encouraged Kenyans to continue purchasing the company’s brands. “Unlike in the past, where we offered trips and shopping vouchers, we now give cash prizes to support our customers in navigating the tough economic times,” she said.

The KachingChing na Coke promotion is open to all consumers who purchase Coca-Cola beverages in 200ml, 300ml, and 500ml returnable glass bottles. Participants can find a unique code under the metal crown of each bottle, which they can SMS to 40111 for a chance to win. The promotion covers a wide range of Coca-Cola products, including Fanta, Sprite, Krest, Stoney, and Schweppes. The SMS entry is free, ensuring no additional costs for participants.

With just a few weeks remaining, Coca-Cola encourages more Kenyans to participate in the promotion and stand a chance to win one of the remaining prizes.
