The enigmatic gospel artist known as “Embarambamba” from the Gusii region is back with a new track titled “Panua” just days after captivating his fans with the song “Nataka Kunyonywa.”
The musician, whose real name is Christopher Nyangwara Mosioma, released the song last Sunday, and its lyrics have stirred considerable debate among his followers.
The song goes: “Panua Yesu, panua wagonjwa wapone…panua maisha yetu…” (which can be translated as “Expand, Jesus, heal the sick…expand our lives…”).

Before these two songs, he had also released a track called “Nimwagie,” which he claimed was gospel music with the primary purpose of praising God.
However, the titles he gives his songs have sparked controversy among Kenyans, with some saying that he misleads his fans.
Others argue that his lyrics allude to issues of promiscuity, contradicting the true gospel.
“Without a doubt, the lyrics of these songs allude to issues of promiscuity. He connects his compositions with gospel themes, but there are hidden promiscuous messages,” said Eva Mong’ina via YouTube.
Despite the criticism he has received from his fans due to the names he gives his songs, the musician stated that he would do everything in his power to create a buzz among his followers.
In addition to these controversial lyrics, he also uses unconventional singing styles, such as climbing trees, houses, or chasing away people and animals.
“I am ready to do anything to capture my fans. So, I don’t care what is said about me,” the musician said.
