The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has authorized the charging of Jecinter Adoyo Hezron, a senior analyst and personal assistant to the Chairperson of the Commission on Revenue Allocation, for allegedly using forged academic documents to secure employment.
Investigations revealed that Adoyo used counterfeit Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Masters of Arts in Development Studies degree certificates purportedly from the University of Nairobi to obtain employment at the Commission on Revenue Allocation in August 2011.
As a result of these findings, the DPP has directed that Adoyo be charged with several offenses, including fraudulent acquisition of public property under Section 45(1)(a) of the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act 2003, forgery under Section 345 of the Penal Code, and uttering a false document under Section 353 of the Penal Code.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) reaffirms its commitment to upholding the rule of law and executing its constitutional mandate. It emphasizes the importance of serving the public interest, ensuring the fair administration of justice, and preventing the abuse of legal processes.
