Signs of discontent from the average supporters of the ruling UDA party are now conspicuous.

As the William Ruto-led government delays in accomplishing things they promised to deliver within the first 100 days, their supporters are losing patience.

Murang’a Woman Betty Maina in a message on her Facebook page that she later deleted revealed all is not well inside the UDA.

The first time MP who earlier served as a director of Athi Water Works Development Agency said she is aware their followers were giving in to ridicule from non-UDA supporters.

Murang’a Woman Rep Betty Maina

“Dear Kenya Kwanza supporters, don’t allow people to ridicule you…we are not regretting and we are happy to be in the ruling government. We have hope and confidence and his Deputy,” she wrote.

It is not clear why the young lady who coined the famous ‘Tugokira tene tugacagure Ruto” (We’ll wake up early to vote in Ruto) song deleted the message in a haste.

It is suspected her message did not go well with the party leadership as it portrayed Ruto and his government in bad light at a time cost of living has gone up sharply.

She claimed there were leaders in opposition camp begging to get into the government.

Betty’s Facebook post she later deleted.

According to her, some politicians like Kanini Kega are trying to meet Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua to lobby for opportunities.

The inexperienced Betty succeeded her mentor Sabina Chege who she worked for as a personal assistant before they parted ways.

Early this year she started a supremacy war between her and former Kandara MP Alice Wahome who is now the Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation.

President Ruto and his deputy are struggling to fulfill their campaign promises.

She is a loyal soldier of Rigathi and is among leaders pushing to have the former Mathira MP crowned as Mt Kenya spokesperson, a position currently held by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
