In a move aimed at strengthening the fight against corruption, the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja, on Tuesday hosted the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abdi A. Mohamud, at the National Police Service (NPS) Headquarters in Nairobi.
The courtesy call marked a significant step in fostering closer collaboration between the National Police Service and the EACC, two key institutions at the forefront of combating corruption and promoting good governance.
According to the statement sent, the meeting focused on improving teamwork between the two organizations to fight corruption and unethical behavior in the country.
Mr. Mohamud , stressing the need for the two institutions working together to fight corruption.
“We appreciate the strong partnership between the EACC and the police. This teamwork is key to making sure public servants follow high ethical standards.” he said.
On his part ,Mr. Kanja reaffirmed the police service’s support for the EACC’s efforts to ensure transparency and accountability.
“Fighting corruption needs everyone to work together, and the National Police Service is committed to working hand in hand with the EACC to maintain honesty and Public trust,’ he noted.
