Elachi calls on Kenyans to be positive,support elected leaders

Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi has called on Kenyans to support elected leaders and embrace positivity for the country.

Elachi who spoke at a church service attended by President William Ruto in Nairobi said that the negativity portrayed by a section of Kenyans can be destructive if not dealt with in the right way.

She wondered why Kenyans were too negative about the country yet people visiting from other countries rate the country among the best destinations.

“Let us learn to respect the leaders we have now and show love for our country because that is the only way to grow,” she said.

She emphasized the need for constructive criticism on critical government programs.

Her remarks were supported by Makadara MP George Aladwa who said Nairobi leaders will support government programs that are good for the people.

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja hailed the President for supporting education programs in Nairobi and called on Kenyans to give the President time.

This comes a Few days after a section of leaders from Rift Valley drumed up support for President William Ruto as they condemned the ongoing online backlash against the Head of State.

Speaking in Baringo, the leaders Members of Parliament including Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), Johanna Ng’eno (Emurua Dikir), and Reuben Kiborek (Mogotio) said that leaders supporting President Ruto will start to defend him against ongoing political attacks.

“These political attacks are unwarranted, the president is focused on delivering for the country, but some people are trying to pull him down, but we will not give room to such politics,” Sudi said.
