Renowned for his Bull’s Eye political satire on NTV, former journalist Emmanuel Juma has assumed the role of Head of Communications at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Alfred Mutua, officially confirmed this appointment in a Wednesday statement, expressing confidence in Juma’s alignment with the role’s demands due to his extensive media background.
Mutua highlighted Juma’s media experience as a valuable asset, emphasizing his potential to enhance communication strategies. “Juma’s creativity and drive will empower the Ministry to effectively convey Foreign and Diaspora positions,” Mutua affirmed.

Starting September, the Ministry will conduct regular press conferences titled “Foreign Briefs” to provide national updates on Foreign and Diaspora matters. The CS or Principal Secretaries, Roseline Njogu and Korir Sing’Oei, will oversee these briefings.
Emmanuel Juma gained recognition through his “Bull’s Eye” segment on NTV, analyzing weekly political events with a light touch. His adept storytelling and meticulous curation gained popularity. Previously, Juma held roles as NTV’s head of news and managing editor.
His journalistic journey began at KTN and Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) before joining NTV in 2005. Despite his achievements, Juma faced redundancy in 2018 but later returned to NTV. In December 2020, he transitioned from the station to his new role.
