Gachagua’s Strategy to Foster Unity in Post-Election Era in Mt. Kenya

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua recently announced his willingness to collaborate with respected elders from the region to address the fractures that arose during the recent elections.

His emphasis on working with esteemed elders underscores the necessity of healing rifts for collective progress.

In his interview with Inooro TV, Gachagua extended his hand to Mount Kenya’s esteemed elders, including former Starehe MP Maina Kamanda, among others.

He outlined plans for multiple meetings with leaders to promote unity and present a unified voice for development initiatives. These initiatives demonstrate Gachagua’s determination to unify the region and resolve internal conflicts that could weaken its position in future elections.

However, he and Samuel Maigua have been embroiled in a leadership dispute within the Kikuyu council of elders.
