Newly appointed ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo joined congregants at PCEA Gateway Church on Sunday morning for a special thanksgiving service, marking a new chapter in his public service journey.
Kabogo attended the service just a day after officially assuming office from Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, who had been holding the ICT portfolio in an acting capacity.
Addressing the congregation during the English service, Kabogo emphasized the importance of gratitude in leadership and personal life, sharing an inspiring Bible verse:
“This morning at PCEA Gateway Church, I attended the morning English service for a special thanksgiving. A powerful reminder from the Bible: ‘Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.’ – Psalm 107:1,” he said.
The service provided an opportunity for reflection, with Kabogo expressing gratitude for the warm reception from the church and encouraging Kenyans to uphold a spirit of thanksgiving.
Kabogo also highlighted the significance of faith in overcoming both personal and national challenges, urging citizens to remain steadfast in prayer and trust in God’s guidance.
“As we embark on this new journey, let us trust in God’s plan for our nation. Together, through faith and hard work, we can overcome any challenge,” he noted.
The thanksgiving service, which included hymns, prayers, and a message of unity, was attended by congregants who lauded Kabogo’s humility and faith-driven approach to leadership.
Kabogo’s assumption of the ICT docket comes at a critical time as the ministry focuses on advancing Kenya’s digital transformation agenda. His message of gratitude and trust resonated with many, setting a hopeful tone for his tenure.
