We don’t have time, a global non- governmental organization which advocates for climate change solution have come out widely to create awareness and advocacy for climate change solution as a way of saving the world.
Fossil fuels – coal, oil and gas ,are the largest contributor to global climate change, accounting for over 75 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions and nearly 90 per cent of all carbon dioxide emissions.
By chance, fossil fuels when burnt they releases large amount of carbon dioxide , a green gas emissions into the air , trap heat in atmosphere hence causing global warming and climate change.
This greenhouse gas emissions blanket the earth and trap sun heat. According to We don’t have time the world is warming faster than at any point in recorded history. Warmer temperatures over time are changing, seasons and disrupting the usual balance of nature.
This poses many risks to human beings and all other forms of life on Earth. These includes ; long heat waves, devastating floods, cyclone hidaya, drought, diseases etc.
Speaking during an interview held at We don’t have time offices in Thika, its Managing Director Patrick Kiarie said that people must come out to protect nature by ensuring sustainability to climate change mitigation.
“It’s our role to protect our environment, we are the cause and main contributers of climate crisis.
It’s now the high time all governments globally should come together and foster a robust collaboration to find sustainable climate change solution. Each an every one of us should advocate for climate love by ensuring our environment is safe from all kind of pollution” said Kiarie
‘We don’t have time’ stated in 2016 in Sweden, after realizing how will it be 70 years down the line and the future their children.
The organization opened its door to Kenya 2020 when the world was suffering covid pandemic.
The organization is projecting to plant over 2 million shade trees, removing 500,000 metric tones of carbon in 20 years.
“The government tree planting initiative of planting 1.2 billion trees in 2030 is a milestone Kenya will achieve. I am delighted to support President William Ruto climate change mitigation agenda and all Kenyans we should wake up and try to save our future generation. We are going to experience more severe impacts of climate change, this is just a begining of the game and we shoul take it serious, climate change is real” said We don’t have time MD Patrick Kiarie
There is emerging cases of respiratory diseases caused by gas emissions from industries.
“People living near industries are in high risk of suffering respiratory diseses, industries are releasing their gas emissions at night when no one can see, We are calling on our national and county governments to take action and protect pollution of any nature. Serious climate change impacts will be more severe in a couple of decades than now” said Wanjiku Kiruri, We don’t have time representative
