Hundreds of Ridgeway residents demonstrated on Monday following the increased crime in the area.

The residents held a peaceful demonstration to mark the death of Keagan Githua who was last week stabbed to death by robbers riding on a Motorcycle.

They only stole his phone before escaping

Keagan, 24, was working with Kenya RE after he recently graduated from Strathmore University where he studied Information Technology.

On Sunday afternoon, the family and friends held a requiem mass at Ridgeways Baptist Church, Nairobi where they described Keagan as peaceful and loving.

Her mother Lucy Githua said her only son Keagan was stabbed in the chest as he resisted the robbers.

She said Keagan was pronounced dead upon being taken to AAR hospital along Kiambu road by a Good Samaritan.

She described the death of her only son as a hit to the family urging the government to track his phone and arrest those who killed him.

He said that the security laxity is to blame for increased crime in the area.

“We aren’t doing this for Keagen, but to the Kenyans out there, we are urging the security operators to ensure justice to all Kenyans,” he said.
