Hello, am Joseph Githenji from Muranga County. Am a 25 year old son of the late James Kamau Githenji. The only family am left with is my older brother Antony Mwangi Githenji. Since my parents passed on, my brother and I have never been in good terms because of our father’s land. Before my father had passed on, he had written a will saying he had left the entire land to my brother. I had been a drunkard and a thief in our village. That had angered my father and made him leave nothing to me.
On realizing the shame I had brought to my family, mostly my father, I had decided to change. I went to church, and luckily secured a job at a construction site. I supported my father by buying fertilizers to help in production of higher yields and also paying the workers in the farm.
He was pleased with my efforts and he knew I had changed. He had promised to give me a piece of his ten acre land. One night he had called the two of us and as we talked he told my brother he was going to give me four acres and my older brother would have the rest six acres.
Later in the morning, my father could not wake up, he had passed on. After the autopsy had been done, it was clear that there had been food poisoning. After we rested our old man, my brother failed to give me my four acres since our old man had not yet changed the will.
