I have never understood why people steal in this Kanairo. Ok, I understand that the economic situation especially after COVID-19 pandemic has had an adverse effect on people, but still that is not justification for you to steal.

Last week, I was boarding a Matatu to Kayole and OTC. Immediately I got into the Matatu, I realized I had lost my phone. I was so mad because that was a company phone. My employer was going to fire me because I was supposed to only use that phone in the office.

I alighted from the vehicle and reported the incident at the nearby police station. However, police didn’t help as they wanted to be bribed just give me an OB number. I gave them the only 200 shillings I had and walked to Kayole on foot. I got to my house just before curfew started. I slept hungry that night and really prayed to God that I get that thief.

The next morning, I woke up to borrow Ksh 100 bob from my local shopkeeper called Mama Yao. I needed to get to work and report the incident to my boss.
