Interesting Things About The Dwarf Entertainer Uhuru Gave Rental Building in Nairobi [PHOTOS]

Kamunguna whose real name is Mary Wanjiku Njeri was a popular campaigner for Jubilee Party in 2013 and 2017 that President Uhuru Kenyatta noticed and took her as a friend. Later he awarded her with a complete building in Nairobi.

She was a dwarf and featured in the late Murimi Wakahalf’s song Kamunguna. This song gave her the nickname that stuck with her till her controversial death in her Kayole’s house late last year.

She was however a mother who wore many hats. Here are some interesting things about her few people knew about;

1) She was a mother of a six-year-old girl who is not a dwarf.

2) Kamunguna was the only one who was dwarf in their family of five. She was a fourth born.

3) President Uhuru in June 2018 gave her a rental building located in Soweto, Kayole. Uhuru had promised her a plot in 2013. He honoured the pledge with a building with 10 single rooms full of tenants.

4) She visited State House, and not during an event there. Uhuru had invited her and they took a photo together.

5) She had a boyfriend who is a truck driver but Kamunguna was such secretive that by time of her death her mother, siblings and most friends had not met him.

6) She loved partying and when provoked she could bring a whole pub to a standstill.

7) Kamunguna was a staunch Catholic faithful. She rarely missed church services at Joachim & Ann Catholic Church, in Kayole.

8) Despite being extremely short, she once worked as a conductor for Prime Sacco and Forward Travellers Sacco, both plying Kayole-OTC route.

9) She was an Arsenal fan. She kept the Gunners’ posters, photos, calendars and clothes bearing the team’s name.
