The Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy (MICDE) is spearheading efforts to enhance service delivery by digitizing all government processes.
Speaking at a press briefing, ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo emphasized the critical role of digitization in making government services faster, more efficient, and accessible.
Kabogo outlined the Ministry’s plans, which include adopting advanced digital technologies, improving ICT infrastructure, and raising public awareness about digital services.
“The Ministry will take the lead in moving all government services to digital platforms. This will enable real-time information sharing, streamline decision-making, and enhance service delivery,” he stated.
The Cabinet Secretary also called on Kenyans to support the government’s efforts in promoting more transparent and equitable services.
Principal Secretary Eng. John Tanui, who accompanied Kabogo, urged ministry officials to collaborate effectively to ensure smooth implementation of the digitization agenda. Tanui highlighted the importance of the Ministry’s leadership in encouraging Kenyans to transition to digital platforms.
