The Kenya Private Security Industry Association has expressed enthusiasm for potential collaboration with the Japanese government, particularly in the areas of security and technology.
Speaking at the Kenya-Japan Business Forum, Chairman Cosmas Mutava highlighted opportunities for the two countries to partner in implementing advanced technologies, such as modern access control systems and drones for private security surveillance.
Mr. Mutava also underscored the potential for local manufacturing of security equipment, including scanners, lifts, and elevators, as a means to boost economic growth. He noted that such initiatives align with Kenya’s affordable housing agenda and could significantly create employment opportunities.
He further emphasized that the Kenya-Japan partnership could address trade challenges and unlock new opportunities for investment and exports. “By leveraging this strategic platform, we can introduce modern technology, create jobs, and attract foreign direct investment,” said Mr. Mutava.
The Kenya-Japan Business Forum serves as a key avenue for fostering trade and investment ties between the two nations, with a focus on advancing shared economic and technological goals.
