Kenya National Police DT Sacco Reports Strong Financial Growth in 2024

The Kenya National Police DT Sacco has reported significant financial gains in its latest annual report, showcasing a year of strategic growth, operational efficiency, and member-focused success. The Sacco’s financial results for 2024 reflect a steady increase in profitability, improved liquidity, and enhanced member benefits, reinforcing its commitment to financial empowerment and stability.

One of the most notable achievements in the report is the increase in interest revenue, which rose from Ksh. 8.09 billion in 2023 to Ksh. 8.66 billion in 2024. This impressive growth highlights the Sacco’s smart investment strategies and efficient financial management, ensuring maximum returns for its members. Profitability also saw an upward trend, with the net profit rising to Ksh. 2.51 billion from Ksh. 2.47 billion the previous year, marking another year of financial resilience and sustainable expansion.

The Sacco has also demonstrated strong financial stability, as reflected in its capital adequacy ratio, which stands at 33% core capital to total assets. Additionally, its liquidity ratio improved to 30%, up from 27% in 2023, ensuring it remains well-prepared to meet its financial obligations. The Sacco’s commitment to efficient operations is evident in its expense-to-revenue ratio, which now stands at 61%, showcasing cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.

Members have also benefited significantly, with the dividend payout on share capital increasing to 17%, up from 13% in 2023. This increase not only rewards members for their trust and investment in the Sacco but also reinforces its commitment to creating value and financial security for its stakeholders.

Looking ahead, the Sacco has ambitious plans for further growth, with a focus on expanding digital services, introducing new financial products, and enhancing member education programs. A key highlight in the Sacco’s calendar is the upcoming Annual Delegates Meeting (ADM) on February 21, 2025, at Serena Hotel, Nairobi. The event will celebrate the successes of the past year and mark the launch of the Sacco’s 2025–2029 strategic plan, outlining a roadmap for sustained growth and future innovation.
