If you want to post hide my ID. I was MARRIED to a “Tinder Swindler” – I just don’t tell my story loudly to protect my children with him.

A gorgeous Kenyan I met while living abroad. Horror from the very beginning and he used all manner of horrible tactics to get my money.

I should have seen the red flags, especially when he “borrowed” to pay my dowry. Hahaa. He would use emotional blackmail, theft, lies and tricks to get money from me.

He lived large and was secretly channeling funds back to Kenya. Cleaned my savings completely and left me with huge loans. Lost two homes to fund him (I was doing well abroad).

Still didn’t stop him – I think as long as he knew I had income he kept harrassing me. I filed for divorce which he fought very hard against with his lawyers.

I fought back with my own lawyers ending up spending over a million KES to finalize divorce. I even contemplated suicide one time that his lawyers came up with a new issue to stop the divorce.

It’s the thought of my kids that kept me going. I didn’t want to leave them without a caretaker.

When he saw I was serious on leaving he then tried to get the court to award him spousal support to keep him in the standards he was used to as my husband, and half of anything I owned including pension funds.

Even after divorce he continued to harrass me to a point I secretly escaped with the kids and returned to Kenya (told him about a short vacation to get the children’s passports).

Lo and behold when he realized we were not coming back he relocated to Kenya a few years later. Tried to resume his behaviour.

HAAAAA! SICK. By then I was a stone wall so he couldn’t get into my head. But years later, I see him trying to manipulate his kids the same way and even get to me through them.

I’ve asked them to watch Tinder Swindler and given them my story. Maybe they need the character development directly so good luck to them.
