Presidential aspirant George Wajackoyah’s idea to legalise marijuana may not be that new to Kenyan people.
It appears a man from Kiambu had the same idea about three years. An idea he shared with Kiambu MP Jude Njomo in June 2019 but was ignored.
The video has now resurfaced and from the conversation between the man and MP Njomo as government officials listen carefully indicates he shared same ideas with what Wajackoyah is pushing for.
He admitted to smoking the weed as the MP told him the illegal stuff is taking toll on him.
Like Wajackoyah, the man said if the government cultivated marijuana and then packaged it well and also it for medicinal value, it could help settle the external debt which is over Sh4.1 trillion.

“Legalising bhang will help settle debt and create job for many. I urge President Uhuru Kenyatta to consider the state cultivating it” he said.
Adding “Other countries are doing it and they are now ahead of us. Marijuana is a money maker and will give us a lot if we use it for medicinal value. This should be part of Uhuru’s Big four”.
As Njomo and other officials rididculed his idea, the man challenged the government saying there is no major project by the Uhuru administration that is aimed at reducing the growing debt.
In recent media interviews, Wajackoyah has said the same, promising it would be one of his major projects if he is elected President in two months time.
