Kithure Kindiki, the nominee for Cabinet Secretary of Interior and National Administration, has disclosed a net worth of approximately Sh694 million.
During his vetting before the National Assembly Committee on Appointments, Kindiki attributed the increase in his wealth to his law firm, which is currently managed by others, and to additional small business ventures.
“I’ve seen my wealth rise from Sh544 million to Sh694 million. This increase is primarily due to previously pending legal fees and my involvement in small businesses,” Kindiki stated.

Kithure Kindiki Reports Net Worth Increase to Sh694 Million
“I have never engaged in any improper business dealings or conducted business with the government, either directly or indirectly.”
Kindiki’s latest declaration reflects a substantial increase from the Sh544 million reported in October 2022. At that time, his net worth comprised land and buildings valued around Sh165 million, bank deposits of approximately Sh50 million, and investments in shares and deposits in several savings and credit cooperative organizations (saccos).
He was the first of five nominees to appear before the committee on Thursday.
