A legal battle is looming between recently launched radio station Kayu Fm owned by former Kameme Fm presenter Rose Kimotho.
The new station management opted to use Kayu as its signature name that was initially copyrighted by Kameme FM Kayu ka Muingi.
According to a source who sought anonymity, Kameme Fm claims that they have copyrighted the name and thus their new competitor couldn’t not use it.
They claim that the name Kayu FM by Rose Kimotho might mislead their followers that they are tuned to Kameme.
“A serious legal battle is brewing between Kameme Kayu ka Muingi and Kayu FM by Rose Kimotho and already the Media Max legal team is planning to write to competitive authority of Kenya that its mandate is to prevent such a thing, ‘the source said.
The Station is barely one day old and has employed former kameme Fm presenters .
Rose KIMOTHO picked Kanyira,Pm,Macha’ngi,Evans,and the finest talents in new radio station.
The newly launched station is set to rival Kameme FM, Inooro, Iganjo Fm,Gukena Fm and Coro FM.
