Former Mungiki Leader, Maina Njenga, Calls on Kenyan Government to Lower Taxes .During his visit to Murang’a, former Mungiki leader, Maina Njenga, expressed that Kenyans are burdened by high taxes because “we were told to ignore us within the One Kenya Alliance.”

Many Kenyans have been lamenting the rising cost of living, attributing it to the heavy taxation imposed by the Kenya First government led by President William Ruto.

In addition to this, Njenga urged his supporters to return sheep they had stolen from the Northlands family farm, which belongs to former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Some of the young people who support me politically stole sheep from Northlands, and I’m instructing them to return them,” Njenga said.

Speaking on behalf of the youth in the Mount Kenya region, the former Mungiki leader called on Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to stop pursuing young advocates for Mount Kenya’s interests and to stop viewing them as adversaries.

He revealed his readiness to reconcile Gachagua and Kenyatta as long as “Gachagua is willing to bring a sacrificial goat.”

He also told President Ruto that the youth in the Mount Kenya region are not fans of division, emphasizing that their three most important values are unity, love, and effectiveness.

At the same event, Thuo Mathenge, Chairman of the Agikuyu Men’s Congress, popularly known as “Wanguku,” mentioned that Gachagua would join them soon, as he had gone to Meru for another national event.

“You will soon see Gachagua, Kenyatta, and Njenga on one platform to bring together the residents of Mount Kenya,” Wanguku stated.
