Mart Networks and Infopercept Team Up to Tackle Africa’s Rising Cybersecurity Challenges

Middle East cybersecurity firm Mart Networks Group is looking to scale its operations into East Africa and into the continent, through a strategic partnership with Infopercept.

As part of the agreement, Mart Networks will distribute Infopercept’s cyber security platforms to help organizations strengthen cybersecurity and meet compliance requirements in the region.

The partnership comes at a time that, the country reported that a staggering 840.9 million cyberthreats between October and December 2024, a 27.2 per cent increase in the preceding three months, according to data from the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA).

While the demand for cybersecurity expertise continues to rise globally, Kenya has continued to face a significant skills gap in this area.

“The increasing sophistication and volume of cyberattacks in Africa demand a more comprehensive approach to cybersecurity,” said Moiz Maloo, CEO of Mart Networks Group.

“Organizations must now move beyond traditional security and incorporate proactive strategies like Threat Exposure Management. Moreover, compliance is a growing challenge that requires a structured, platform-driven solution.”

He emphasized that the partnership strengthens Mart Networks’ ability to deliver forward-looking cybersecurity tools to its network of partners and customers throughout Africa.

Infopercept CEO Jaydeep Ruparelia said the Africa’s digital landscape needs solutions that are versatilite and conform to addressing the continents diverse IT environments.

“Our collaboration with Mart Networks ensures organizations across the region have access to tools that not only defend against advanced threats but also close the cybersecurity skills gap through platform-led services,” said Rupareli.

The partnership comes amid rising cybersecurity challenges across Africa, with increasing demand for integrated solutions that can address both security threats and compliance requirements in a rapidly evolving digital environment.

Data from the CA shows that major attacks in Kenya include Malware (33.9 million), brute force attacks (34.8 million) and web application attacks (4.5 million).

System vulnerabilities during the quarter were 752.4 million while mobile application attacks were 138,175.

DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks which flood a target with traffic from multiple sources, making it unavailable to legitimate users, were 15.1 million, up from 1.8 million.
