Martha Karua Reveals If She Has Been Made Raila’s Running Mate

Martha Karua, the leader of Narc-Kenya, has denied reports that she will be ODM leader Raila Odinga‘s running mate in the August elections.

Ms Karua stated that she was considering running for the Kirinyaga governor’s seat.

“I have not been declared as a running mate for Raila Odinga,” Martha Karua told Nation.

“I intend to run for the Kirinyaga governor’s seat in the upcoming elections,at the moment,but if anything comes by,I will gladly accept it,” she stated.

She stated that the region of Mount Kenya will support a presidential candidate who addresses insecurity and low coffee and tea prices,who is none other than Raila Odinga.

She cautioned Mount Kenya leaders against disbanding their political parties in the run-up to the August elections.

Currently, the majority of residents in the region support the United Democratic Alliance, which is affiliated with Deputy President William Ruto.

She stated that DP Ruto is now regretting dissolving his URP party in order to form Jubilee with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“At the moment, there are numerous political squabbles between the President and his deputy, and the deputy president has no authority over Jubilee’s control ,”she stated.
