Celebrities and tastemakers joined Moët & Chandon for the party of the season at Palais Brongniart, in the City of Lights

Moët & Chandon welcomed notable tastemakers within the world of entertainment, art, fashion, and culture for an effervescent holiday celebration in Paris. The vibrant crowd enjoyed an evening of music, champagne, and holiday cheer to toast the season and experience the magic of Maison hosted by Moët & Chandon President & CEO Berta de Pablos Barbier and Cellar Master Benoît Gouez.

True to its heritage and emblematic champagne, Moët Impérial, Moët & Chandon chose for the occasion Paris Brongniart, built by order of Napoleon Bonaparte, who was also a visitor to the House’s cellars. It has also been an opportunity for the champagne house founded in 1743 to announce that 2023 will be devoted to its 280 th anniversary.

The Palais Brongniart became the golden setting for an extraordinary journey through the Moët & Chandon universe. During a spectacular evening, guests experienced a uniquely immersive and participative journey, revealing the effervescence that drives the famous champagne house every day.

To embody the Maison’s savoir-fête, guests were treated to an exceptional showcase by Belgian singer Angèle, and a surprise appearance by disco icon Gloria Gaynor, who led the audience in her unforgettable hits “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”, “Never Say Goodbye”, “I Am What I Am” and “I Will Survive”. The attendees also enjoyed the set of DJ Kungs and danced until the end of the night in the iconic Parisian venue.

Many celebrities responded to Moët & Chandon’s invitation, including Maison Ambassador Roger Federer, Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel and Naomi Harris.

The effervescence of the Maison was also translated into culinary creations by Yannick Alleno, paired with Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2004, a champagne presented exclusively – and for the first time – in Jeroboam size, as a preview ahead of the 280 th anniversary of the House next year. These special bottles were shared with guests at Moët & Chandon’s holiday event and represent the very spirit that makes Moët & Chandon unique. This edition, matured in cellars for more than 15 years, will mark the milestone anniversary of Moët & Chandon reflecting a singularly outstanding combination of maturity, complexity, and charisma, making it a perfect fit to celebrate an awe-inspiring moment of the House.

Yannick Alléno, ambassador of the House, was also joined by a duo of food creatives representing the audacity of their generation: Alexia Duchêne, a gifted chef with multiple projects in France and on the other side of the Atlantic, and Yann Couvreur, a talent that embodies the renewal of pastry making, joined forces to direct the event’s culinary activities. Combining their expertise and energy, the duo has come up with original creations, from savory to sweet, in harmony with Moët & Chandon’s iconic cuvée: Moët Impérial.

The Paris celebration constitutes the latest chapter of a series of events in 25 iconic cities around the world, including Berlin, Milan, Madrid, Tokyo, Sydney and New York City, for which event the Maison commissioned the installation Your Voices at Lincoln Centre, and whose unveiling saw celebrities of the calibre of Sienna Miller and Emily Ratajkowski on the red carpet, with a surprise concert by Mariah Carey to further delight the guests of the House.

“The holiday season is an important and meaningful time for our Maison – moments of celebration, sharing with those we love and giving back,” said Berta de Pablos Barbier. “As we look towards our 280 th anniversary next year, we are honored to bring the values of the most-loved champagne in the world to these iconic cities.”

Keeping with the House’s tradition of “Toast For A Cause”, Moët & Chandon donated to the Fondation GoodPlanet, founded by French environmentalist Yann Arthus-Bertrand, to support actions around biodiversity, echoing the “Natura Nostra” program by which Moet & Chandon is committed to diversifying natural ecosystems and protecting the fauna and flora of Champagne.

Moët & Chandon encourages Parisians and visitors alike to join in the effervescent celebrations throughout the holiday season: an experience open to the public by reservation is planned on Friday, December 16, 2022 for the price of 80 Euros net, which includes two glasses of Moët Impérial and a multisensory culinary experience.

For the holiday season, Moët & Chandon is also offering ‘Specially Yours’ gift boxes to help mark the little moments that make life big. Created to be personalized for the occasion, Moët & Chandon’s ‘Specially Yours’ boxes are the perfect gift for the champagne-lover in your life.
