Murang’a governor aspirant and former PS Irungu Nyakera recorded fighting with her sister

Murang’a governor aspirant Irungu Nyakera whose Farmers party is a member of Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by William Ruto was on Wednesday captured fighting with her sister verbally.

According to the video circulating online, Nyakera is seen evicting her sister from a house claiming that he own.

Today is a sad day for women of this country. I have been suffering in silence and out there I put on a brave face. I have been thrown out of my house with my child,” Njoki stated.

“To culminate it all, in broad daylight, my brother brought his bodyguard to my premise and together they beat me up. I am not okay, I might end my own life, this is too much,” she added.

Njoki, who is vying for a Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat in Murang’a county, is seen in the video being held back by a man who was urging her to calm down and talk to Nyakera so that the two can resolve their issues.

In response her sister is heard bashing out his brother claiming that he (Nyakera) has been mistreating them together with her sister.

“Huyu brother yangu anasimama gavana huko Murang’a and ametuzoea sana na sister yangu.He gave us this prots when he was PS for roads and he registered them under our names.

This loosely translates, “This is my brother Nyakera and he is vying for governor Murang’a and he has beenm mistreating us ,he bought us these plot when he was PS and he registered them under our name and want to evict us,”

The video also shows Nyakera asking her sister whether she has a title deed and her sister is heard saying that Nyakera refused to transfer to hem.

The fallout and subsequent physical confrontation between the siblings come amid accelerated campaigns in Murang’a with politicians targeting the 621,161 registered voters spread across 1,131 polling stations in seven constituencies.
